Internship Resume: Projects, Training, and Campus Roles

MineResume · 10 min read · Updated 2026-09-06

An internship with no bullets is a title with dates. Even two weeks of shadowing can produce “observed X, documented Y, produced Z.” If the company gave you no output, write what you learned only if you can point to a file or a process.

Treat campus work like a job

  • Placement cell volunteer: number of students you helped register, tools (Excel, Google Forms).
  • Club treasurer: budget size, how you recorded spend.
  • Lab assistant: equipment you set up, safety steps, hours.

Unpaid and training stints

Label them honestly: “Summer trainee” or “Unpaid internship.” Recruiters care more about tasks than the stipend. Do not rename training as “Software engineer” at a company where you never shipped code.

Projects section

Two strong projects beat eight course assignments. For each: one sentence problem, two bullets of your work, tools, and a link if public. Group coursework under Education instead.
