Customer Service Resume: Tickets, Phones, and Retail

MineResume · 9 min read · Updated 2026-09-06

Service jobs are easy to undersell. “Handled customers” is everyone. Recruiters want channels (phone, chat, floor), tools (Zendesk, Freshdesk, POS), and how you closed the loop.

Numbers that are fair

  • Tickets or calls per shift if you know the range.
  • Languages you used with customers.
  • Store or queue type (returns desk, inbound billing, chat only).

Sample bullets

  • Resolved chat tickets in Freshdesk for billing errors; escalated payment failures to finance with screenshots.
  • Ran the returns counter on weekends; processed exchanges in the POS and bagged items for restock.
  • Trained two new hires on the opening checklist and the refund policy sheet.

Moving to office or BPO roles

Name the software. Many BPO postings search for the tool, not the word “customer service.” Put the tool in Skills and in one bullet. Use a clean one-page MineResume layout; photos and skill wheels hurt these applications.
